Call for Submissions - New Book for Sunday Program

It is time for us to begin the selection of a new book for the once monthly program at AZG. We invite the community to suggest books they would be interested in reading together. Characteristics of a book that works well for the Sunday program:

  • Content that will hold the interest of a wide variety of practitioners

  • Short chapters, or chapters with short sections

  • Contemporary topics in Buddhism and Zen

  • Content that will inspire reflection and dialog

Examples of books that have worked well in the past:

  • Inside the Grass Hut – Ben Connelly

  • The Truth of This Life – Katherine Thanas

Examples of books being considered:

  • Seeing One Thing Through – Mel Weisman

  • Subtle Sound – Maurine Stuart

  • Welcoming the Unwelcome – Pema Chodron

  • When You Greet Me I Bow – Norman Fischer

What else would you like Practice Committee and the Sunday Facilitators to consider? Please email your suggestions to info@arcatazengroup.org
